What happens to what you send me
Written plainly, because you are about to hand over your travel dates and your passport expiry and you deserve to know where they go.
This site collects nothing on its own
There are no analytics, no advertising pixels, no trackers and no cookies. Nothing is stored in your browser. If you read this site and leave, I have no record that you were here.
The intake form
The “Seeking an Experience” form is the only place this site asks for anything. It collects your name, email, phone number, who is travelling and their ages, your dates, destinations, budget, accommodation preference, travel document expiry date, and whatever you choose to tell me in the free-text boxes.
That information is sent to me by email and used for one purpose: planning and booking your trip. It is not sold, rented, or added to a marketing list. I do not send newsletters.
How it reaches me
Submissions are delivered through Web3Forms, a form-forwarding service that passes the message to my inbox. Web3Forms states that it does not store submission content on its servers. If that service is unavailable, or has not been configured yet, the form instead opens your own email application with the answers filled in — in which case nothing leaves your device until you press send, and no third party is involved at all.
Travel document details
The form asks only for the expiry date of your travel document, because many countries require six months’ validity beyond your return date and it is better to catch a problem now than at check-in. It does not ask for your passport number, and you should not send one through this form. If a booking later requires full passport details, I will collect them through a secure channel and tell you what it is.
Booking partners
To actually book a trip, the details needed for your reservation are shared with the relevant suppliers — the airline, hotel, resort or tour operator — and with Fora, the agency I am certified through. Only what a booking requires is shared, and only once you have asked me to proceed.
How long I keep it
Enquiry emails stay in my mailbox while we are planning and for as long as I need them for the booking record. If you would like your enquiry deleted, ask me and I will remove it.
Your rights
Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA) gives you the right to ask what personal information I hold about you, to have mistakes corrected, and to withdraw consent for its use. To exercise any of these, email me and I will action it.
